Fire Safety Regulation Floor Number Sign – Rectangle Style

This Acrylic Fire Safety Regulation Floor Number Sign has been designed in accordance with the amended Fire Safety Regulations 2022.

Regulations made under Article 24 of the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005 require building signage to follow these guidelines.

400mm x 120mm x 3mm

 

Customisation

Firstly, there are a maximum of 2 characters available for the floor number. Use the drop down to choose the required numbers, choose from -2 to 20.

Secondly, select a Background Colour from the swatches – We offer a range of satin finish materials, explore our Colour Swatches page for more information.

Then, the text is UV printed on the face and the colour is pre-determined based on the background colour to create contrast.

In addition, we offer two fixing styles: Self-Adhesive or Screw Fixings

Fitting Instructions

These signs come with a strong double sided tape on the back, allowing them to be attached directly to the desired surface.

To fit your sign, peel the adhesive that is pre-fitted to the back of the sign, then apply to the surface.

If screw fixings are selected, fix the provided back panel to the wall first then apply the self-adhesive backed sign on top.

Finally, align with spirit level for best results.

 

Further adhering to the legislation, these signs are to be fitted following the below conditions:

• Every landing of a protected stairway should have a sign installed, and where a firefighting lift opens into a lobby/corridor or open access balcony. (15.14a)
• Firefighters should be able to see the sign from the top step of the firefighting stair and, if possible, from inside the firefighting lift one the doors have opened. (15.14c)
• Signs should be mounted between 1.7 meters and 2 meters above floor level. All the signs should be mounted at the same height as far as practicable. (15.14d)

 

Cleaning

To clean these signs, use a soft clean cloth and warm soapy water if needed.

Do not use any harsh chemicals or bleach on the signs. As this can tarnish and craze the material.
